Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately billing and coding medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient records. This is a vital role in our medical office, as accurate billing is essential for the financial health of our practice.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure proper reimbursement
- Resolve billing discrepancies or issues with insurance companies
- Review medical records and assign appropriate codes using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and regulations
- Maintain patient records, including updating insurance information and billing codes
- Answer patient inquiries regarding billing or insurance matters

Skills:
- Proficient in medical billing software systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosis codes (ICD-10)
- Familiarity with medical records and coding systems (ICD-9, DRG)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Strong understanding of insurance claim submission and reimbursement processes
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
